This is my picture of springtime, as you can probably already tell from the rabbit and flowers. in this picture, I drew lots of different flower, including some daisies. I drew these because flowers are one of the main features of spring. Also, they are pretty and fun and add a cool vibe to the scene. In addition to the flowers, I drew a rabbit because they come out during the spring and are a huge part of Easter. To bring an Easter-feel to the picture, I drew Easter eggs, which are fun and cute to see. Every object that I drew in this picture was drawn because they have to meaning of spring to me.Some Facts About St. Patrick's Day Origin Are:
1. Many of the first people to celebrate St. Patrick's day were starved Irish-Catholics who fled to America during the potato famine.
2. Irish families would traditionally go to church in the morning and then have a celebration in the afternoon. Since the celebration was during Lent, all the restrictions against eating meat were waved for the day and people would celebrate and eat Irish Bacon and Cabbage.
3. St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. He is known for banishing the snakes.
4. The first St. Patrick's day parade took place in the United States when Irish Soldiers marched through New York City. This helped them to reconnect to their Irish roots.
5.Until about 1970, Ireland celebrated St. Patrick's day as a religious holiday, until the government decided to use it to drive tourism.
